Sacred Memories ~ for loved ones laid to rest far away

“After my parents passed away within a year of each other in 2013 and 2014, I realized that it would be a hardship to get back to Detroit where they are laid to rest to pay my respects. I asked Rabbi Levin if I could purchase a niche at the Mausoleum where I could place some of their favorite things and engrave their names on the front like other niche fronts.  I chose a lovely spot in the back by the new gardens and that is where I honor my parents.  It is very fulfilling for me to visit and remember them here. I feel their presence as much, if not more, than I would in that bleak cemetery in Detroit where I no longer have a connection.  I think that my parents would be happy with my solution. I know I am.”

To foster that sense of closeness here, closer to home, we have created a special place in the Beth El Mausoleum, Sacred Memory Niche to hold keepsakes and favorite mementos of your beloved family member.  The Sacred Memory Niche offers you a holy place to visit and honor the memory of your loved ones.

Anyone whose loved ones are laid to rest in places that now are too distant to visit often may purchase a niche, either on the new Sacred Memories Wall or at a location of their choice in the beautiful Beth El Mausoleum.  Many people find it a fulfilling way to commemorate the memories of those laid to rest in distant places.

We are so fortunate to have the Beth El Mausoleum right here, just a walk down the hill from Temple Beth El, on the consecrated grounds of our synagogue. Please visit this beautiful treasure.  Contact our Mausoleum Director or call 561-391-8901, and begin the journey of creating a sacred memory for your loved ones.
