There are so many things that make the Beth El Mausoleum really special. As the only mausoleum located on temple property in all of north America, it’s only a short walk down the hill from the main temple building, the Singer Sanctuary, the Beck family chapel administrative offices, et cetera. And we come to the beautiful oasis of the Beth El Mausoleum.

Having grown up in New York, my experience of visiting a cemetery is that it seemed like anytime I ever went, it was either raining or snowing or recently rained or snowed. I always got back in my car with wet grass on the bottom of my feet from having walked across the wet lawn, stepping on other grave sites to get to the site of my loved ones. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Here at the Beth El Mausoleum, we have the benefit of beautiful Florida weather. So we don’t have to worry about snow. And just the concept of a mausoleum with everything above ground makes it far more comfortable. It’s pristine, it’s clean and beautiful.

20% of every purchase goes into a perpetual care fund, which is used to maintain the facility forever. The mausoleum is spectacular. It’s serene. It’s a comfortable space with a very different feeling than visiting a cemetery. In fact, we’re adjacent to a school and you often hear the children playing. That, in and of itself creates an environment which is much more uplifting, much more peaceful, and much more comforting for so many.

There’s spectacular artwork, engraved glass, mosaics and inlaid tile depicting scenes from our Jewish heritage, from scripture, from our background and from our faith. The craftsmanship of the marble, the beautiful landscaping and the care that our team puts into every detail of the mausoleum makes it a very comfortable and meaningful place.
