Immediate Need

If You Don’t Know Where to Begin, You Can Begin with Us.

A sudden passing, whether from an illness, accident or a variety of other unexpected reasons is jarring and emotionally draining.

Similarly, knowing that a passing is imminent, as in when our loved one is hospitalized or in hospice care with a terminal illness or injury, can be overwhelming if plans have not been made in advance. There are many decisions and arrangements that must be made.

Reach out to our Mausoleum Director, Mike Sirowitz, at 561-314-2841 or [email protected]. He will guide you with patience and compassion as you make difficult decisions during this painful time.  He will connect you with our Temple Beth El clergy who are able to officiate at the funeral, who can provide comfort and solace, and guide you through Jewish customs and traditions. He will help you step by step until each arrangement is finalized. As you make your way through each decision, you are never alone.

After the Death of a Loved One, Timing is Paramount for a Jewish Funeral.

Out of respect for the deceased, Jewish tradition urges that the funeral and burial take place within forty-eight hours of death. This is not always possible since family may be in various locations around the country and must travel to the place of the funeral. A waiting period of two, three, even four days is acceptable so that family may be together.

“Unfortunately, my family was faced with finding a burial space for my stepfather with very short notice… We met with Mike Sirowitz, the director of the Beth El Mausoleum the day after the passing of our stepfather and found an incredible resting space for him. Through the entire process, including a beautiful service, our family was treated with love, kindness, and respect. We are greatly thankful.”

Jewish tradition urges that the funeral and burial take place within twenty-four hours of the death out of respect for the dead. There is no need to wait until your loved one has passed to make the first call.
